Why study in France? What's it like to study there? What's everyday life like? Can you find your way there? Learn your future profession there? Our new communication campaign hands the mic to those who know best: alumni. His "Rendez-vous en France" allowed Niels, originally from Germany, to become a committed researcher thanks to MOPGA scholarship program. Learn more about his background.

His "rendez-vous en France" experience : a PhD on global warming

Recipient of the MOPGA scholarship program in 2018, Niels is now a PhD student at Claude Bernard University Lyon 1, participating in researchs to fight against global warming.

His research work consists of analyzing minerals, stones, and sea salt to study temperature variations and climate change. He can reconstruct past climates and model future climate change. Niels is a committed researcher and wants to send a message to society and political decision-makers to tell them that there is still time to take action against global warming.

I chose to study in France because I wanted to take part in the scientific approach of tackling global warming. In France the scientific community is particularly concerned about our planet’s  future, and today we are working on addressing these question

Along with Niels, Campus France invites you to come to France.
