2nd Internship forum - Science without borders Program

Campus France Agency and the Brazilian embassy in France have hosted the "2^nd internship forum - Science without borders Programme" for holders of a scholarship from the Brazilian government on October 23^rd 2015.

Companies such as Atos, Imerys, L'Oréal, Renault, Saint-Gobain, Solvay, Valéo, I2EN (AREVA, EDF, ENGIE), Beijaflore Holy-dis, SNCF, THALES ALENIA SPACE, Airbus have answered the invitation from the Brazilian embassy (the creator of the event which also organised the first edition in 2014) and Campus France, sole operator of the Science without borders Programme for France since its launch in 2011.

The Day was opened Mr Paulo Campos, Brazilian ambassador in France, and Mrs Béatrice Khaiat, general director of Campus France.

Just like last year, the event has been a big success for the targeted audience: over 500 scholarship holders from all over France met recruiters from several companies. Brazilian students are currently studying in a training course in France in about a hundred different higher education institutions, universities and Schools of Engineering. Scholarship holders come from Brazilian universities and have a scientific profile matching a French Masters of PhD level, and they are fluent in French. They also had the opportunity to participate in workshops dedicated to the creation of their resume and cover letter, and to watch a presentation of the ALUMNI platform.

Science without Borders is a scholarship programme dedicated to helping students study abroad created by the Brazilian government in 2011. Its goal is to improve and develop initiatives in sciences, technology, innovation and competitiveness through the international mobility of Brazilian students (Licence, Master, PhD) and researchers. It seeks to offer mobility to 101,000 scholarship holders in the world, including 10,000 in France. This target may be reached in late 2016 through a strong tradition of Franco-Brazilian cooperation and emblematic programmes such as the Brafitec, Brafagi or CAPES-COFECUB.
