4th edition of the Entrepreneurship Prize

Launch of the 2017 contest for startups of Chinese alumni who graduated in France

Bertrand Furno, Consul General in Canton, has opened the 4th edition of the Entrepreneurship Prize on June 10, 2017 in Shenzhen at the HAX, the famous startups incubator.

Launched by the embassy of France in China in 2014, the France Alumni Entrepreneurship Prize (former Club France Entrepreneurship Prize) is the first national contest for young innovative companies created by Chinese students who graduated in France. The 2017 edition winner will receive 50,000 RMB, in addition to many prizes offered by the prize partners (equipment, services, counselling, etc.).

With over a million new companies created in the first quarter 2017 in China, entrepreneurship is a choice favoured by new generations of young graduates who see an alternative approach to company employment. At the heart of this trend and thanks to a reputation of city where companies bloom, Shenzhen naturally appeared as the best choice to host the new edition of the France Alumni Entrepreneurship Prize.

Main eligibility conditions

• Be a member of Club France / France Alumni China (free registration at www.clubfrancechine.org and www.francealumni.cn)
• Be the project owner or partner
• Have your companies registered in the Chinese Trade Register for at least 3 months and at most 3 years
• Complete the application file
• Provide a business plan
• Send your application form and business plan duly complete at: [email protected]

Key dates of the France Alumni Entrepreneurship Prize

• June 10, 2017: Opening ceremony in Shenzhen
• June 10, 2017 to September 22, 2017: Applicants may file their application on the mini website dedicated to the FAEP: http://pefa.francealumni.cn/.
• October 2017: Preselection of applications and announcement of the finalists
• December 04, 2017: Oral exam of finalists before the final jury and Prize ceremony in Shenzhen.
