The Federal University Toulouse Midi-Pyrénées and Campus France improve their reception arrangement for international students

Campus France and the Federal University Toulouse Midi-Pyrénées asserted their desire to welcome more international people in universities, “grandes écoles” and research organisation in the Occitanie region. A partnership was concluded to provide scholarship recipients supervised by Campus France with a customised Toul’Box pack designed by the Federal University. 

How is settling in Toulouse and its region? Easy, when you choose one of the Toul’Box welcome packs. Services provided include a taxi ride from the airport, support to look for accommodation, a transport or SIM card, the opening of a bank account, a visit of Toulouse, and more.

In order to offer this type of reception to international students from the Academy of Toulouse who benefit from a Campus France scholarship, the Federal University of Toulouse Midi-Pyrénées and Campus France strengthened their collaboration. Philippe Raimbault, president of the Federal University, and Béatrice Khaiat, general director of Campus France, concluded a partnership to let international students registered at the Academy of Toulouse, and whose scholarship is managed by Campus France, to benefit from additional services with the news Campus France Toul’Box pack.

The French government defined the objective to welcome in France 500,000 foreign students in 2027, up from 340,000 today. This is an opening to the world that benefits to all regions, including Occitanie, the 3rd region in terms of reception of international students.

During her visit in Toulouse as part of the “Rencontres de l’Occitanie” (Occitanie Meetings) organised by La Dépêche du Midi, Béatrice Khaiat praised the exemplary level of the collective schemes of reception from Toulouse: the Toul’Box, which was already mentioned as example in the Campus France start of press report, and the Welcome Desk.
