Launch of France Alumni Uganda
On Friday, July 6, France Alumni Uganda was officially launched in the presence of French ambassador Stéphanie Rivoal.
The ceremony started with a speech from the ambassador of France Stéphanie Rivoal given to the students who passed their exams (DELF and Master of French Teaching). She spoke of French language and culture, then announced the official launch of France Alumni Uganda.
Degrees in French language were awarded to Master's, BELC and UPDF students (Ugandan army). Then, Felix, a student who received a scholarship from Campus France to study in Paris talked about his experience.
One of the most deserving students, Tom Maiga, also received a scholarship for a 2-weeks language and cultural stay in France.
The ceremony continued with a cocktail reception: hosts had the opportunity to enjoy drinks and petits fours, and had the opportunity to ask their questions about Campus France, France Alumni and the Alliance Française at their respective stands.
