Launch of France Alumni Serbia
The French embassy in Serbia and the French institute in Serbia have launched the Serbian version of the France Alumni network on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at the Résidence de France in Belgrade.
France Alumni Serbia is a multilingual platform designed to unite, inform and guide international students who studied in the French higher education system. The platform supports them before, during and after their studies, connects them in a network and creates professional value for their stay in France. The platform is also designed to unite all people having worked in France or led various projects in relation with France.
With France Alumni Serbia, the French embassy in Serbia will improve relations with the community of Serbian alumni, among other through the creation of a directory of alumni networks and the sharing of feedbacks on experience. Serbian members will have the opportunity to exchange, take advantage of professional opportunities for their job search, the progress of their career, their training or scholarships, but also to stay updated on French cultural news.
Every year:
- More than 750 Serbian students and researchers realize a mobility toward France;
- About 20 bilateral research projects are implemented;
- More than 40 students attend a joint Masters course in cultural management and law co-supervised by Serbian and French universities;
- Serbian civil servants benefit from exchanges and studies visits with the French counterparts.
On Wednesday, May 23, more than 200 alumni and researches exchanged with the French Ambassador Frédéric Mondoloni, in presence of Secretary of State Vladimir Popovic and many other representatives of Serbian universities at the Residence of France. The website is already operational and lists all Serbian alumni from the French higher education who registered by themselves.
The tool will improve the bilateral relations between France and Serbia and will offer new professional and personal opportunities to Serbian alumni.
