His "rendez-vous en France" experience : a PhD on global warming
Recipient of the MOPGA scholarship program in 2018, Niels is now a PhD student at Claude Bernard University Lyon 1, participating in researchs to fight against global warming.
His research work consists of analyzing minerals, stones, and sea salt to study temperature variations and climate change. He can reconstruct past climates and model future climate change. Niels is a committed researcher and wants to send a message to society and political decision-makers to tell them that there is still time to take action against global warming.
I chose to study in France because I wanted to take part in the scientific approach of tackling global warming. In France the scientific community is particularly concerned about our planet’s future, and today we are working on addressing these question
