The APEC’s free workshops to find a job
As part of its “Target: 1st job” action, the APEC (Association Pour l’Emploi des Cadres) offers free workshops, onsite or remotely, to Licence or Master graduates to give them every chance of finding their first job.
As part of its “Target: 1st job” ("Objectif 1er emploi") action, the APEC (Association Pour l’Emploi des Cadres) offers free workshops, onsite or remotely, to Licence or Master graduates to give them every chance of finding their first job.
The initial objective of the APEC, a French association with public service missions, is to service and advice companies and executives in the field of employment. It is also concerned with young higher education graduates and it is for this specific public that the association launched the operation “Objectif 1er emploi”.
Mastering the fundamentals
“Young graduates, learn to master the basics of job search to maximise your chances of success!” This is in such terms that the homepage of the APEC website appeals to the future or young graduate to help them discover “the best tools” to find their first job (or a work-study contract).
In order to acquire these basics, APEC offers free group workshops during which an APEC consultant “specialist in the career paths of young people and executives” will be able to guide the young graduate.
Get a tailor-made action plan
With the concrete aim of “taking stock of the steps to be taken” and “identifying the tools to be implemented”, these workshops can take two forms, in order to adapt to the health situation. They can be held digitally (two hours by videoconference) or face-to-face, in APEC centres throughout France (four hours). Whatever their modalities, these workshops, which are all free of charge, result in a “tailor-made action plan” which will be drawn up in a group.
