Welcome to international students

"The bond in spirit and heart you have created with France, France created it back with you" Jean-Marc Ayrault, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Development, opened the ceremony to launch France Alumni USA in New York on the 21st of September 2016 with a speech to remind how proud and lucky France is to welcome about 300,000 foreign students each year.

In the US, about 1,700 alumni from the French higher education system have already joined the platform. Not only will they have the opportunity to keep in touch with each other and maintain their bond with French language and culture, but they will also find internship and job opportunities. Today, the France Alumni platform registers about 36,000 members worldwide.

Jean-Marc Ayrault then visited the University of Columbia on the 22nd of September. He met with many students and alumni whom he reminded that "France wants to welcome many more American and international students. You are more than welcome! ".
