Overview
Founded in 1990, the ISUGA program of the Ecole de Management Bretagne Atlantique (administered by the QuimperCornouaille chamber of commerce and industry) prepares students for business dealings between Europe and Asia, with special emphasis on the Chinese, Japanese, and European markets. ISUGA has a multicultural enrollment of 150 students from 12 countries; 45 percent of the students are Asian. Students may enter the institute at a level appropriate to their prior preparation, from the last year of the French baccalauréat program to the fourth year of postsecondary education. Therefore, they may complete the program in 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 years, depending on when they enroll. The degrees offered correspond to the European levels L2 (2-year undergraduate degree), L3 (3-year undergraduate degree), M1, and M2 (master). The program alternates periods of study in Quimper, 36 month internships in Europe or Asia, and, for European students, 312 month periods of study in Asian partner universities.
