Overview
L’École nationale supérieure d’architecture de la ville & des territoires (EnsaVT) is one of the twenty French higher national architecture schools. The School, located in an environment embodying all contemporary issues, seeks to awaken in its students an awareness of an ever-evolving world as well as to nurture reflection on current architectural practices. The EnsaVT prepares students for the State Architecture Diploma diplôme d’Etat d’architecte (DEA), which is awarded after five years of studies made up of a first, 3-year cycle (equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree) and a second, 2-year cycle (equivalent to a Masters degree). The HMO, habilitation de l’architecte diplômé d’Etat à exercer la maïtrise d’œuvre en son nom propre or Architect’s licence to project-manage under one’s own name, is intended for holders of the DEA, either directly after their studies or in the context of work experience accreditation. Following the launch of the DSA in architecture (post-Masters specialization), EnsaVT opened the DPEA Architecture Post-Carbone Diplômes propres aux écoles d’architecture, or school-created course in 2013.
