Overview
La Fémis is a state-funded film school.
Terms of admission: admission by entrance examination (www.femis.fr from 4 to 29 January (midnight) 2016). Several entrance exams are open in 2016:
- The General Entrance Exam (Screenwriting – Directing – Camera – Editing – Sound – Décor – Production), the Script Entrance Exam, and the Distribution-Exhibition Entrance Exam are open to candidates from the 28 member countries of the European Union, as well as Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Andorra, Monaco, and Switzerland.
- The International Entrance Exam (Screenwriting – Directing – Camera – Editing – Sound – Décor – Production) is open to candidates from all other countries. Candidates with dual nationalities that include one of the countries in the preceding paragraph are required to undertake the General Entrance Exam.
Prerequisites:
Candidates must hold the equivalent of a baccalaureate and at least 2 years of tertiary studies (or equivalent) except for the Distribution-Exhibition Entrance Exam for which the candidate must have validated 3 years of tertiary studies. For all entrance exams, candidates must be under the age of 27 on 1 January 2016, or under the age of 30 on 1 January 2016 if they can provide proof of at least 4 years’ of professional activity.
Proficiency in the French language is compulsory.
Candidates cannot sit one or more of the entrance examination more than 3 times.
