LET’S CELEBRATE BASTILLE DAY, THE FRENCH NATIONAL DAY!
Bastille Day is the name given in English speaking countries to the French National Day, which is celebrated on 14 July each year. In France, it is formally called La Fête Nationale (the National Celebration) and commonly Le quatorze juillet (the fourteenth of July).
The French National Day commemorates the beginning of the French Revolution with the Storming of the Bastille on the 14 July 1789. It is now a red-letter day for French people, a time not only to commemorate but also to celebrate… so let’s party!
Wear your French stripes with pride and join the Alliance française in Sydney for the celebration of the French National Day. Enjoy French food, drinks and music as well as fabulous shows and fun entertainment!
