Savoir-vivre in 21st Century, a guide to the art of living in France
Saturday 15th August 2015 - 3pm
The Alliance Française is delighted to welcome this event around Nadine de Rothschild and the Savoir-vivre à la française. The presentation will be given in English.
About the book
Savoir vivre, in French, means literally “knowing how to live”. And knowing how to live is more than etiquette, it is more than good manners, and it is also more than the art of living – l’art de vivre. Savoir-vivre is about all of those things, and more: consideration for others, social grace coupled with kindness and respect for all. Charming and provocative, the Baroness Nadine de Rothschild embodies the savoir-vivre à la Française. With wit and vivacity, she instructs her French compatriots on all manners of elegance, from the contents of their wardrobes, to the setting of their tables, and the secrets of their love affairs.
