French Books on Wheels, a van driven by Jacques Bernard and Anne Mangeant, both of whom are passionate about. Jacques Bernard set up the first and only French bookshop - Le Forum - in Australia 10 years ago. He is very active in the Association Internationale des Libraires Francophones - AILF - which is based in Paris. Anne Mangeant has been living in Australia for 15 years and is representing Bayard and Milan Presse, which publishes educational magazines for children and young adults.

A mobile version of the bookshop « Le Forum » based in Fremantle (Western Australia), French Books on Wheels aims at meeting Francophiles and French-speaking people in Australia and familiarizing them with French language publications. “The French Books on Wheels” project is supported by the Centre National du Livre and by the Embassy of France in Australia.

During its journey, the French Books on Wheels will stop at libraries, schools, Alliances françaises, … and offer books, magazines and DVDs –often hard to find - for sale.

You can follow they journey and find the next stops on their website or on their Facebook page.
