A series of Esther Duflo's books for children

Groupe "India"

Book launches and talks on Poor Economics for Kids

You are invited to a series of official launch events across India for Esther Duflo’s new book series, “Poor Economics for Kids,” addressing critical themes of poverty through the eyes of children. Collaborating with illustrator Cheyenne Olivier, Nobel Prize-winning economist Esther Duflo introduces a captivating series designed to empower young minds and initiate important conversations about inequality.

In today’s increasingly unequal world, this book plays a crucial role in shaping values and perspectives. By exploring topics such as education, healthcare, employment, environment, and entrepreneurship, Duflo’s series encourages children to engage thoughtfully and parents to discuss complex issues surrounding poverty in straightforward terms.

Join us for these landmark events where Esther Duflo will unveil the series in multiple languages including English (published by Juggernaut) and regional languages like Bengali, Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, and Marathi (published by Pratham Books). This launch aims to dismantle stereotypes and foster empathy towards poverty, making it an essential resource for families and educators alike.
