10 November 2023 Business
View 11 times

The fourth CREATIV’ event, a week dedicated to students and the spirit of entrepreneurship, will be held from 13 November to 19 November all over France. CREATIV’ is organised by the PEPITE France network, in collaboration with associations and institutions to invite students discover resources of entrepreneurship with targeted workshops.

CREATIV’ was created in 2020 at the initiative of the ministry of higher education to raise students’ awareness about business creation. Since then, at every start of academic year, a week is dedicated at national scale to the spirit of entrepreneurship and business creation opportunities made available by the French university system. It’s the “perfect week to discover, exchange, start, test, network, develop and take action!”.

IN THE WAKE OF THE GLOBAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP WEEK

The aim of this week, organised during the Global Entrepreneurship Week as a symbol, is to provide information and spark “the desire to act in young people so they can develop their project” This “celebration of business creation and the spirit of entrepreneurship” is organised in more than 180 countries to shed the light on entrepreneurs’ talents in traditional economy, but also innovative technologies, social and solidarity economy or the protection of the environment.

To pass the threshold of action, the CREATIV’ platform, which supervises the project, is presented as “the website for curious people, for those who don’t want to be spectators” and those “who feel the need to commit and take one step beyond”. To this end, CREATIV’ lists all actions organised during this week to pass the threshold of business creation.

FROM WANTING TO DOING, WITH THE PEPITE NETWORK

The CREATIV’ week was designed as a tool to take the step “from wanting to doing the project”. In addition to event actions it lists, the platform provides information to discover how to start your business when you are a student or a young graduate.

“Take inspiration, meet, share, debate, experiment” are actions also possible thanks to “a rich and diverse schedule” gathering various actors of French entrepreneurship and implemented by the PEPITE France network, the network gathering 33 Student Centres for innovation, transfer and entrepreneurship present all over France. The aim of PEPITE is to “strengthen the entrepreneurial spirit and innovation in higher education”, while implementing training, support and awareness-raising actions, including the CREATIV’ operation.

ENTREPRENEURSHIP IN ALL ITS FORMS

PEPITE France encourages the networking of projects of business creation and young graduates with companies and funding and follow-up entities. And this is the spirit in which this year the PEPITE network has prepared an “inspiring schedule to promote student entrepreneurship and encourage the most hesitant to take action”.

All students interested in business creation of “just curious”, as the dedicated website explains, will have access to “exclusive contents” such as personal stories, speeches from experts of entrepreneurship and business creation follow-up, and feedback”. In short, CREATIV’ is entrepreneurship in all its forms “for students, as seen by students and seasoned entrepreneurs!”.

KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT THE NATIONAL STUDENT-ENTREPRENEUR STATUS (SNEE)

As explained by the Ministry of Higher Education, which created the concept, the “Statut National Étudiant-Entrepreneur” (National Student-Entrepreneur Status, SNEE) enables students to build and develop their entrepreneurial project as part of their university course, within their own institution, and to benefit from additional support.

The SNEE is open to students and graduates with a baccalaureate (or equivalent) or above and with no age limit. Accessible throughout France, it allows you to build and develop your project, whatever your chosen entrepreneurial approach.

Any student or young graduate wishing to be trained in entrepreneurship and innovation is supported and helped within a PEPITE centre.
