Ciné-concert: Robert Piéchaud & Stann de Nussac

The Ciné-Concert is a show that combines the love for cinema with that of live music. Films shown on a giant screen are accompanied by musicians playing original compositions live on stage. It is a means of resuscitating silent film repertoires and inviting audiences to discover or rediscover cinematic classics, through a different lens. 

Musicians Robert Piéchaud (pianist) and Stan de Nussac (multi-instrumentalist) put forth a proposal to deliver a series of concerts in India, with the support of the French Institute in India (IFI), the network of Alliances Françaises in India (AF India), the Cinémathèque Française (CF) and the National Film Archive of India (NFAI). 

The silent films to be showcased in India include a varied selection of films starring the likes of Buster Keaton and Charlie Chaplin, as well as productions by René Clair and the renowned Dadasaheb Phalke.
