A delegation of 12 French industrial companies visits India under "Explore & Match: French Fab India" mission.

The French public development bank, Bpifrance, in partnership with Business France, has launched the international mission "Explore & Match: French Fab India". This mission will enable twelve French industrial companies to identify and develop qualified and sustainable export business in India.

From 27th November to 1st December 2023, a delegation of 12 companies from France will discover new growth opportunities in the booming Indian market, particularly in New Delhi and Bangalore. The delegation will explore business opportunities, which includes meetings with the public and private ecosystem, personalized business appointments, and visits to key Indo-French business success stories such as IDEMIA, Schneider Electric and the Central Manufacturing Technology System Institute.

This mission takes place against the backdrop of the 25th anniversary of the Indo-French strategic partnership and the adoption on 14th July of the bilateral Roadmap 2047, which calls for “Strengthening trade and facilitating investments between our two countries, with a view to sustainable growth and transition to low carbon energy”. The 12 companies will be presented with a unique opportunity to establish strategic contacts with major local clients, potential private partners, heads of French subsidiaries and members of Team France in India, in an environment conducive to business development.

The "Explore & Match: French Fab India" mission also comes on the heels of a global nation-branding campaign, “Make It Iconic. Choose France”, launched by the French government with India as a focus country. This campaign showcases the inventiveness and daring at the heart of the French spirit, and is an invitation to choose France for investments, innovation, higher education and creativity. France, with its investor-friendly business environment, world-class infrastructure, talented workforce, and excellence in both traditional know-how and cutting-edge digital and scientific innovations, has already welcomed Indian investors and seeks to attract more Indian companies and talents.

India and France have a robust economic relationship with over 750 French companies present in India, including most of France’s major groups such as Airbus, Cap Gemini, Safran, Alstom, Schneider, Saint-Gobain, and over 5,000 exporters actively involved in trade relations. With a sustained average growth rate of 7% per year, India, the world’s 5th largest economy, offers numerous development prospects for French companies, including SMEs and SMIs, whose presence has grown considerably in recent years.
