Global Environment Pact

Agnès Michelot, a lawyer specializing in environmental issues, will present and explain the draft "Global Environment Pact", which will soon be presented to the UN.

France has indeed pledged to defend before the UN the "global pact for the environment". This draft text, drawn up by legal experts from about 40 countries, recalls the main principles of environmental law, including the "right to an environmentally sound environment" and the "duty to take care of the environment", with The ambition of making it a binding international treaty, which could be invoked against States before courts.
