Francophonie 2023 in Pakistan

The international francophonie week gave the embassies of Belgium, Switzerland, Vietnam and France as well as the High-Commission of Canada the opportunity to come together to celebrate the richness of French language and the diversity of Francophone cultures at Alliance française d'Islamabad on March 19, 2023.

The guests enjoyed delicacies from the partner countries such as waffles, crêpes, shepherd's pie, spring rolls, raclette and rostis. Can you guess which dish was cooked by which country? Let us know in the comments!

This event was part of various actions implemented to celebrate Francophonie in Pakistan in 2023. Alliance française of Karachi hosted photography and French language workshops and a movie screening was organized at the Swiss embassy on April 18th, where students from the French department of the National University of Modern Languages (NUML) discovered a Swiss movie Unrest  and Canadian documentary Une Rivière Métissée.
