CALL FOR APPLICATION SCIENTIFIC HIGH LEVEL VISITING FELLOWSHIP (SSHN) 2024
In order to support the development of structuring French-Palestinian research collaborations, the Cooperation and Cultural Services of the Consulate General of France in Jerusalem allocates grants to Palestinian researchers currently working in Palestinian universities for short-term research stays in France and to Palestinian researchers currently working in Palestinian universities and who already went to France either for their studies or during previous research stays within a French research laboratory or institute.
Visiting fellowship in France for Palestinian researchers
In order to support the development of structuring French-Palestinian research collaborations, the Cooperation and Cultural Services of the Consulate General of France in Jerusalem allocates grants to Palestinian researchers currently working in Palestinian universities for short-term research stays in laboratories located in France.
The fellowship will last between one and eight months during the year 2024 and may start from March 18. The fellowship should be done at the latest on December 31.
Palestinian researchers apply to this call by providing an invitation letter from the French institution in their application. Priority will be given to young researchers (PhD candidates and post-doctoral fellows).
Applicants must meet the following conditions:
- Be a Palestinian national (dual French-Palestinian are not eligible);
- Be a PhD candidate or hold a PhD, and be contracted to conduct research;
- Be affiliated to a Palestinian higher education establishment and/or research institution;
- Have a research project that requires fieldwork in France and/or working closely with a French research lab or institute.
The stay in France must be assigned in one go. The call is open to all disciplines. The applicant may not hold any other grant or scholarship during his stay in France.
Priority will be given to young researchers (PhD candidates and post-doctoral fellows) and researchers that were never granted a fellowship grant to France. Female candidates are encouraged to apply.

An acknowledgement of receipt will be sent to you by email a few days after receipt of the file. Do not hesitate to write to us if you do not receive the acknowledgement of receipt before November 21.
Only complete applications in the required format will be considered.
It should also be noted that in order to obtain this grant, the successful applicants must devote themselves full-time to their research project, and that it is highly desirable that the stay should lead to a scientific publication.

Visiting fellowship in France for alumni currently working in Palestinian universities
*alumni to the broader sense: having graduated from the French higher education system and/or having previously been funded through scholarships or fellowships to conduct research within a French research laboratory or institute
In order to support the development of structuring French-Palestinian research collaborations, the Cooperation and Cultural Services of the Consulate General of France in Jerusalem allocates grants to Palestinian researchers currently working in Palestinian universities and who already went to France either for their studies or during previous research stays within a French research laboratory or institute.
Besides the scientific interest of the mobility project, this fellowship aims at reinforcing French-Palestinian collaborations and contribute to stronger ties between the Palestinian university and the French institution. Successful applicants will thus be expected to contribute to the bilateral cooperation by promoting the creation of structuring collaborations between their home university and the French university or laboratory.
The fellowship will last between one and two months during the year 2024, between March 18 and December 31.

- To have already carried out a mobility to France in the framework of higher education or a research stay.
