The GIFAS (Groupement des Industries Françaises Aéronautiques et Spatiale) is the French Aerospace Industries Association, an industry body formed in 1908. It is a conglomerate of more than 400 companies ranging from the main prime contractors and system suppliers to SMEs that together form a supportive high-technology sector in the design, development, construction, marketing and maintenance of all aerospace and space programmes and equipments both civilian and military.

In 2016, the GIFAS has opened his Middle East office which is located in Dubai (DAFZA) to strengthen the collaboration between the industries of the two countries. The MEFAN or Middle East French Aerospace Network is the network that brings together French companies’ members of GIFAS interested in the Middle East or wishing to develop their business in the area. The role of the MEFAN is to inform and support by assisting its members in their development.
