Gold Coast Architecture Exhibition
A Cruise Ship Terminal for the Gold Coast
A Cruise Ship Terminal for the Gold Coast
Wether you like it or not, the Gold Coast's architecture is unique in Australia and attracts everybody's attention. The Gold Coast area is always booming with new infrastructures and cutting-edge projects.
In this context, the Alliance Française in Brisbane is proud to present a new exhibition showcasing one of the best recent architectural project for the Gold Coast!
To enhance the tourism industry, the Gold Coast City Council has opened up the discussion on the construction of a cruise ship terminal that would bring in new tourism and infrastructure. Recently, the Australian government decided not to support this project, but the opportunity has been given to the various stakeholders to improve the project proposal. To this end, architecture students at Griffith University were asked to submit a proposal and reconsider the project site.
This project is part of a partnership between the Architecture Department at Griffith University and the Strasbourg National Institute of Applied Sciences in France. As such, the French Embassy is rewarding the best Australian project with a trip to France.
The opening night will be held on Friday 6th November, 6pm and will see Matthew Boyle, recipient of the 2015 French Embassy Award, present his project.
