  • Who can participate?


The contest is reserved for international students staying in France and enrolled in a French higher education institution and for former students and foreign graduates of French higher education who have completed all or part of their studies in France and who have previously registered on the www.francealumni.fr platform

  • How to participate?


1) Register on francealumni.fr



2) You work at Campus France and you are in charge of making a short video promoting higher education in France, maximum 3 minutes long. Based on your own experience (and on your archives and personal videos if you have any), encourage students to study in France!
Creativity and originality encouraged!

) You have until October 14, 2021 included to send your video to [email protected] (you will receive an acknowledgement of receipt).
After this date, your entry will not be taken into account. The contest is open to everyone, there is no age limit. The only condition is to be an alumni of the French higher education system (having studied in France for all or part of their studies, language stays and language assistant programs accepted) and to have registered on francealumni.fr (registration will be verified).

  • Who will sit on the jury?

A jury composed of the Embassy's Counselor for Cooperation and Cultural Action, the General Delegate of the Alliance Française Foundation in the Lesser Antilles, the Consul, as well as the ELAN Martinique team will meet to select the winners.
What are the jury's evaluation criteria?
The works will be evaluated according to the criteria of originality, aesthetics and relevance to the theme.

  • What are the prizes for the winners?

1st prize: An AirFrance gift voucher for the destination of your choice (worth 600 euros)

2nd prize: A tablet

3rd prize: A semester of French courses at the Alliance Française

4th and 5th prizes: French books
And many other surprises!

  • When will the prizes be given to the winners?

The prizes will be delivered by hand in Saint Lucia or by mail.

ARTICLE 1 - ORGANIZATION OF THE CONTEST


The Embassy of France in residence in Saint Lucia (hereinafter the "organizing company")
Organizes from 09/09/2021 to 14/10/21 inclusive, a Contest entitled: " I DID STUDY IN FRANCE, YOU COULD DO TOO! (hereinafter referred to as "the Contest"), according to the terms and conditions described in these rules. This Contest will be accessible from several partner websites, on various social networks and accessible on mobile.
This operation is neither organized nor sponsored by Facebook, Google, Apple or Microsoft.
The personal data collected is intended for the organizing company and not for Facebook, Google, Apple or Microsoft.


ARTICLE 2 - CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION
This Contest is open to all international students residing in France and enrolled in a French higher education institution and to former students and foreign graduates of French higher education residing in France and enrolled on the www.francealumni.fr platform, aged 13 or over, with an internet access and a valid email address.
The Contest is subject to the regulations of French law applicable to games and contests.
Any minor participant must nevertheless obtain the prior authorization of one of his/her parents or legal guardian to participate in the Contest.
The organizing company may ask any minor participant to provide proof of such authorization and, if necessary, disqualify a participant who cannot provide proof of such authorization.
The organizing company may ask any minor winner to provide proof of said authorization for participation in the Contest. The organizing company reserves the right to draw another winner if an initial winner, if a minor, is unable to provide sufficient proof of said authorization.
The mere fact of participating in this Contest implies pure and simple acceptance, without reservation, of these rules.


ARTICLE 3 - TERMS OF PARTICIPATION
This Contest takes place exclusively on the Internet on the dates indicated in Article 1 and is accessible from various partner sites and social networks. It is also accessible on cell phones.
The theme that the contribution must respect is the following: "I DID STUDY IN FRANCE, YOU COULD DO TOO!"
In addition to contributions that are not related to the theme of the Contest, contributions to the Contest that offend human dignity by presenting, in particular and non-exhaustively, content :

of a pornographic, erotic or pedophilic nature
apology for crimes or offences of any kind whatsoever
of a discriminatory, hateful or violent nature towards a person or a group of persons because of their origin, their belonging or not belonging to a specific ethnic group, nation, race or religion
of a defamatory, insulting, slanderous or denigrating nature with respect to third parties, natural or legal persons
infringing on the private life or image rights of any person
infringing the intellectual, artistic or industrial property rights of a third party
and, in general, contrary to the legislation in force
Any participant who does not respect these prohibitions will be immediately eliminated from the contest without prejudice to any legal proceedings that may be brought against the participant by the organizing company or by third parties.
Only one entry per person - same name, same first name, same Facebook or Instagram account - is allowed during the entire contest period.
As the Contest is accessible on a cell phone (Smartphone), under no circumstances will Apple, Microsoft, Google or any other mobile application platform be held responsible in the event of a dispute related to the Contest.


ARTICLE 4 - SELECTION OF WINNERS
The winners will be chosen by a jury composed of the Embassy's Cooperation and Cultural Action Advisor, the General Delegate of the Alliance Française Foundation in the Lesser Antilles, the Consul, as well as the ELAN Martinique team.
It will be based on the criteria of originality, aesthetics and relevance to the theme.
The names of the winners will be revealed no later than October 28, 2021.
The winners will receive a message by Mail or Whatsapp, confirming the nature of the prize won and the modalities to benefit from it. Any winner who does not respond within 72 hours of the notification of his or her win will be deemed to have renounced it and the prize will be awarded to a new winner.

ARTICLE 5 - PRIZES


The contest is endowed with the following prizes, awarded to valid participants declared winners. Each winner will receive one prize.

The organizing company reserves the right to verify the age of any winner before delivery of the prize. The prizes can in no case be exchanged for their cash value or for any other prize. The organizing company shall not be held responsible for the use or non-use, or even trading, of the prizes by the winners. In the event of force majeure, the organizing company reserves the right to replace the prize won by a prize of equivalent nature and value.


ARTICLE 6 - IDENTIFICATION OF WINNERS AND ELIMINATION OF PARTICIPATION


Participants authorize the verification of their identity. Non-compliance with these rules as well as any fraud or attempted cheating, regardless of the methods used, will result in the pure and simple elimination of the author's participation.


ARTICLE 7 - MODIFICATION OF THE DATES OF THE GAME AND ENLARGEMENT OF THE NUMBER OF PRIZES


The organizing company shall not incur any liability in the event of force majeure or events beyond its control if it is forced to cancel this Contest. It also reserves the right to extend or limit the period of participation, to postpone it or to modify the conditions, and cannot be held responsible in this regard.
Additions and modifications to these rules may be published during the Contest. They will be considered as annexes to these rules.

ARTICLE 8 - USE OF WINNERS' IDENTITIES


If they are declared winners, it is expressly agreed that the participants in the Contest authorize the organizing company to use, for advertising purposes, their first and last names, as well as their city of residence, without restriction or reservation, and without this giving them any remuneration, right or advantage whatsoever other than the awarding of their prize.


ARTICLE 9 - REIMBURSEMENT OF PARTICIPATION FEES


As this Contest does not rely on chance, it is expressly agreed that all possible participation fees (including, but not limited to participation (in particular, and not exhaustively, the possible costs of internet connection, postage, request for a copy of these rules ...) remain the responsibility of the participant.

ARTICLE 10 - RESPONSIBILITIES

Participation implies knowledge and acceptance of the characteristics and limits of the Internet, the lack of protection of certain data against possible misappropriation or piracy and the risk of contamination by any viruses circulating on the network. The organizing company declines any direct or indirect responsibility in case of misuse or incident related to the use of the computer, access to the Internet, maintenance or malfunction of the Competition's servers, the telephone line or any other technical connection, or the sending of forms to an incorrect or incomplete address.


It is the responsibility of each participant to take all appropriate measures to protect his or her own data and/or software stored on his or her computer equipment against any attack. The connection of any person to the site and the participation of players in the Contest is done under their entire responsibility. The organizing company cannot be held responsible for the fraudulent use of the connection rights or the attribution of prizes to a participant, except in the case of demonstrating the existence of a gross fault on the part of the organizing company. The organizing company reserves the right to disqualify any participant who alters the progress of the registration to the Contest and to cancel, shorten, modify, postpone, extend or suspend the Contest, in the event that the computer servers of the Contest present malfunctions resulting notably from bugs tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical malfunctions or any other cause due to the participant's fault and which would affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Contest.
The organizing company will make its best efforts to allow access to the Contest. The organizing company may, at any time, notably for technical reasons, updates, maintenance, interrupt access to the site and the Contest. The organizing company will in no case be responsible for these interruptions and their consequences. No compensation may be claimed in this respect.
In addition, the responsibility of the organizing company cannot be held in any case in case of problems of routing or loss of postal or electronic mail (in particular with regard to the routing of the prizes). Any prize sent by the organizing company to a winner that is not claimed or returned for any other reason by the postal services will be lost for the winner and will remain the property of the organizing company.
The organizing company cannot be held responsible for the malfunctioning of the Internet network, nor for any delay, loss or damage resulting from the postal and management services.


ARTICLE 11 - INTELLECTUAL, LITERARY AND ARTISTIC PROPERTY RIGHTS
The images used on the Contest site, the objects represented, the trademarks and trade names mentioned, the graphic and computer elements and the databases making up the Contest site are the exclusive property of their respective owners and may not be extracted, reproduced or used without the written authorization of the latter, under penalty of civil and/or criminal proceedings.

Any resemblance of characters or elements of the Contest with other fictional characters or other elements of existing games would be purely fortuitous and could not lead to engaging the responsibility of the organizing company or its providers.
The participant affirms that he/she is the author of the contribution he/she submits and guarantees that the work proposed is original and unpublished. In this respect, the participant is responsible for obtaining the authorizations of any third party who has directly or indirectly participated in the creation of the contribution (in particular and not exhaustively, in a creative, technical or figurative capacity) and/or who considers that he/she has any right to assert with regard to it. He/she will be responsible for any payments arising from this. In general, the participant guarantees the organizers of this contest against any recourse, action or claim that could be made, in any capacity whatsoever, by any third party, in connection with the exercise of the authorizations granted herein and, more generally, in connection with all guarantees and commitments made under these rules. The participant agrees to hold the organizers harmless in the event of claims from third parties due to infringement of copyrights or violation of exploitation or property rights, whatever their nature.
Within the framework of his or her participation in the contest, the participant, whether or not he or she is a winner, irrevocably and exclusively transfers to the organizing company and/or its assigns all of the economic rights of exploitation and intellectual and artistic property that he or she holds on the work that he or she has designed and transmitted to the organizing company within the framework of his or her participation in the contest, so that the organizing company can, without restriction, reproduce, represent, exploit and adapt this work by all means and for all countries and for the maximum duration of protection of intellectual property rights provided by the applicable legislation.
The present transfer is granted free of charge and will not give rise to any consideration of any kind whatsoever for the benefit of the participant.


ARTICLE 12 - "INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AND CIVIL LIBERTIES" LAW
In accordance with the French law on information technology and civil liberties of January 6, 1978, each participant has the right to access, rectify or delete information concerning him/her by sending a letter to the organizing company, which is responsible for processing the information, to the address specified in Article 1 of these rules.


ARTICLE 13 - ATTRIBUTION OF COMPETENCE AND INTERPRETATION OF THE RULES
Any dispute concerning the interpretation of the rules will be settled by the organizing company.
Participation in this Contest implies unreserved acceptance of (i) these rules in all their stipulations, (ii) the ethical rules in force on the Internet (etiquette, charter of good conduct, etc.) as well as (iii) the laws and regulations in force on French territory and, in particular, the provisions applicable to games and lotteries in force. No telephone or written request concerning the interpretation or application of these rules, the mechanisms or terms of the Contest or the list of winners will be answered. In the event of a dispute, only a registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt sent within a maximum of 30 days after the end date of the Contest. Except in the case of obvious errors, it is agreed that the information resulting from the Contest systems of the organizing company have probative force in any dispute as to the connection elements and the computer processing of said information relating to the Contest.

Prior to any legal action related to or in connection with these rules (in particular their application or interpretation), participants undertake to make an amicable and graceful appeal to the organizing company.
Participants are subject to the French regulations applicable to games and contests. Any dispute that cannot be settled amicably will be submitted to the competent courts on which the headquarters of the organizing company depends, except for public order provisions to the contrary.
