Cairo Prints Exhibition - Edition II

This year the exhibition will be displayed in Cairopolitan, Institut Français d'Égypte au Caire, and IFAO - Institut français d'archéologie orientale, each featuring different artists and prints.

Cairopolitan decided last year to extend that love and became a key player in this extraordinary scene with the biggest collection of posters in Egypt. We have realized that it is about time to put aside vintage prints and leave the door open for our emerging and exceptional artists to bring their own to the table. Therefore, we dedicated a space at Cairopolitan to exhibit and sell their work for all print lovers and design enthusiasts everywhere.

In an attempt to constantly break barriers and expand circles, Cairopolitan has put out an Open Call this year to welcome submissions from graphic designers and visual artists who want to include their work in our collection of prints!

As a result, we were able to reach out to the biggest number possible of artists and designers. Our focus was on those who rely heavily on social media to showcase their work, so that we can be able to provide them with a physical space where their work could be seen and appreciated by print collectors, enthusiasts or even passersby. Eventually, we were able to curate an expanded collection designed by four different and successive generations of artists and designers who come from completely diverse backgrounds.
