Q: How do you think studying in France was a transformative journey for you?

A: Studying in France was a transformative experience. Spending a year in Paris, living in the heart of the 8th arrondissement with a view of the Eiffel Tower, was incredible. Being away from home and navigating life in a new city taught me invaluable lessons, from daily tasks like grocery shopping to embracing diverse languages, all of which are crucial for a global career. This experience greatly contributed to my personal growth and professional aspirations.

Q: What inspired you to choose France as your study destination?

A: My decision to study in France was driven by my desire to specialize in Luxury Brand Management. Paris, being the epicenter of luxury and fashion, made it an ideal choice. Also, the city's cultural richness and artistic heritage fascinated me since my teenage years. This cultural allure, combined with the prestige of studying in Paris, solidified my choice.

Q: What were some of the highlights of your time studying in France?

A: My time in France was filled with memorable experiences. Academically, I had lots of opportunities such as I got a chance to attend workshops at iconic locations like the Goyard store and the Louis Vuitton office, as well as engage in talks by sustainability experts in the luxury industry. On a personal level, not only I was lucky to have amazing friends but a fantastic neighbor as well from America who moved to France in the 1950s after World War II and was an incredibly kind person, and would show me around the city. These experiences made my time in France truly wonderful.

Q: What advice would you give to students considering pursuing studies or careers abroad?

A: I highly recommend studying abroad as it offers a chance to learn independence, explore new cultures and broaden your horizons. Living in a new environment pushes you out of your comfort zone, fostering personal growth. My advice is to keep an open mind and embrace new experiences, whether it is trying local cuisine, participating in sports, or engaging in cultural activities. It is also important to represent your home country well, making others feel comfortable and respected.

Q: How important is learning French for students considering France as their study destination?

A: Learning French is very important for students planning to study in France. Proficiency in the language not only enhances job prospects but also helps in fully immersing oneself in the local culture. Learning a new language can be enjoyable and opens up numerous opportunities both professionally and personally.
