Launching France Alumni Kenya

Following the historical visit of French president Emmanuel Macron in Kenya on March 13rd and 14th 2019 and the Kenya Day on June 4^th 2019, French Embassy in Kenya and Somalia, together with Campus France Kenya, launched the France Alumni Kenya platform on June 18th.

France Alumni is a network geared towards international students of French higher education system that gathers more than 200 000 students who had pursued a part of their studies in France. Its aim is to form social and professional ties with people who share the same interest for French culture and to promote chances to meet others for professional purposes while emphasizing their French training and experience.

France Alumni Kenya platform, local network of France Alumni, connects and informs French higher education system graduates, and offers to the hundred French companies located in Kenya an excellent exchange and recruitment tools. In that context, France Alumni Kenya is a perfect tool that enhances French academic, scientific and economic actor’s visibility located in Kenya and sustains the linking around common partnerships and projects.

The launching was celebrated with a gala evening bringing together Alumni, companies, Kenyan Government’s representatives and Scholars at the French Embassy’s Residence. The event was punctuated by Alumni and French institutions interventions. The musical entertainment was provided by a francophone musician, Fariji Napa (Democratic Republic of the Congo) and Samuel Ayany, pastry chef graduated from École Hôtelière of Paris – CFA Médéric, provided dessert for the event.
