Night of ideas 2023 - The four seasons of water!

Join us on Wednesday 22nd, March at 5 PM at Institut français to celebrate World Water Day! 

The "Nuit des idées" (Night of ideas) is an international programme developped by French Institutes all over the world, to celebrate the free movment of ideas and knowledge. Each year, we promote it through the organisation of free and public events. For the 2023 edition, we have chosen “water” as a main theme and will organise one event per trimester - the four seasons of water:

1. March 22nd: Screening of "Bonjour le Monde" by Anne-Lise Koehler and Eric Serre
2. June 8th: Debate on water supply issues
3. September 6th: Debate on rights to nature
4. November 30th: Science Night with a presentation on the sea

FIRST EVENT: SPRING!

We invite you to discover the animated movie "Bonjour le monde" by Anne–Lise Koehler, Eric Serre

"An animated movie made of papier-mâché, in superb colourful settings, talking about the life of the fauna and flora of our countryside. 
A movie which reinterpret Nature, to make us rediscover it as we have never seen it before!"

The screening will be followed by an open discussion with two sepcialists from NINA (Norsk institutt for naturforskning):

• Jon Hamner Magerøy: researcher in mussels and freshwater fish 
• Tor Atle Mo: researcher in fish parasites and diseases

The event will end with a French buffet!
