and have an open-discussion on the working conditions of hospital staff
We invite you to discover the French drama comedy La Fracture (The Divide, 98 min), directed by Catherine Corsini in 2021. This film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in 2021 and was nominated six times at the César awards in 2022 (the French actress Aïssatou Diallo Sagna won the Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role).
Synopsis: “Two women on the verge of a breakup, in a hospital, are further stressed on the night of a big demonstration (the Yellow Vests Protests in 2018) by the overwhelmed staff and by angry, injured protestors who land up besieging the building”.

The screening will be followed by an open discussion with two specialists of the Norwegian healthcare institutions:
* Kirsten Brubakk is the manager of the Nordic Nurses Federation.
* Karin Isaksson Rø is a senior researcher at the Institute for studies of the Medical Profession.
The discussion will tackle the situation of healthcare professionals and the management of health services, notably in the aftermath of Covid-19 in French and Norwegian hospitals.
The movie-talk evening will end with a French buffet!

She is the manager of the Nordic Nurses Federation. She has been a full-time union representative with the Regional Health Authority in South-Eastern Norway (HSØ) and member of the executive board for more than 20 years. Regarding her academic background, she is a nurse, has a master’s degree in health administration from UiO (University of Oslo) and did her PhD on patient safety and work environment.
She is a senior researcher at the Institute for studies of the Medical Profession. Regarding her academic background, she is a physician and a specialist of occupational health; she did both her master’s degree and PhD in health administration. She also works as a counsellor for health personnel at the Resource Centre Villa Sana in Modum Bad.
