StartHer, a non-profit organization that supports women in technology and entrepreneurship, is pleased to launch the StartHer Awards, Europe’s biggest competition for female-founded startups. In partnership with MasterCard and RCI Bank and Services, the event is set to take place in Paris on October 19th at new startup mega campus Station F.

The competition will be preceded by a day of workshops, conferences, and an opportunity to meet key figures from throughout the startup ecosystem. This year, the winner will be awarded 10.000€ by StartHer to help develop her project.

The StartHer Awards: A unique European event showcasing female entrepreneurs

As an extension of the successful Lady Pitch Night competition, which has been held in Paris for the last five years, the StartHer Awards aims to highlight and give visibility to female startup founders, and to encourage diversity in tech.

Who is eligible to enter?

Any tech startup (internet, mobile, video games, AI, VR, etc.) that is between six and thirty-six months old, is headquartered in a European country, and has at least one woman on the founding team, is eligible to apply online until 31 August.

This year, fintech startups can apply to the StartHer Awards as part of a special track organised in partnership with RCI Bank and Services dedicated to this theme.

For the winners: the winner will be awarded 10.000€ from StartHer; a unique opportunity to pitch in Paris and to attend some of the world’s leading tech events

StartHer will select ten finalists to come to Paris (all travel expenses covered) on October 19th, 2017, to present their startups in front of a jury of experts, investors, and entrepreneurs, as well as to an audience of over 300 people. The winner, who will be announced that evening, will be awarded a 10.000€ from StartHer. All of the finalists will receive spots to attend some of the biggest tech conferences in the world, and will have plenty of opportunities during and after the event to meet with other leading figures of the tech ecosystem.

All online applications and presentations the day of the event must be completed in English, in keeping with the international nature of the competition.
