EHESS Autumn multilingual seminars: a diverse programme of independent seminars
The EHESS organises multilingual seminars in Autumn in English and Spanish to provide a space to meet and discover social science and humanities to international students, newly arrived students or former students of the EHESS or any other institution.
The École des hautes études en sciences sociales (EHESS, School of higher studies in social science) applies its internationalisation policy through a set of seminars for students taught in English and Spanish from 18 September to 27 October 2023 at the Humathèque of the Condorcet campus in the city of Aubervilliers.
What objectives?
The Autumn multilingual seminars aim at two goals: offer a foretaste of the EHESS education plan, and help foreign students meet each other and their teachers. They will also have the opportunity to discover the Condorcet Campus and bond before classes start.
With these seminars, EHESS wants to develop the spirit of multilingualism that is a trademark of EHESS by offering seminars taught in English and Spanish. Newly arrived students will have a first experience of EHESS seminars in a language they master better than French.
What kind of seminar?
Seminars are taught by teachers of the EHESS and other institutions of education and research. The programme of “original versions” goes from recent topics and classics of social science and humanities.
