First Study and Career Fair in France - Azerbaijan

On Saturday 15 of April 2017, the French embassy organised the first Study and Career Fair France-Azerbaijan, in collaboration with Campus France Azerbaijan and the French Institute in Azerbaijan.

The French-Azerbaijani University (UFAZ), which is settled in the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University, has offered its premises free of charge to hold this exclusive event in the best conditions possible.

The objectives of the day were to:

• offer Azerbaijani and French companies recruitment solutions through customised meetings between employers and Azerbaijani Alumni students in France;
• support Azerbaijani students during their job hunting and professional insertion;
• present the network of Azerbaijani Alumni in France and the Internet platform France Alumni Azerbaijan to French and Azerbaijani companies.

Before an audience of diverse companies, the French embassy in Azerbaijan presented its main actions designed to improve the training of the next Azerbaijani executives, and their employability: the scholarship programme of the French government and joint financing opportunities with companies, the France Alumni Azerbaijan Internet platform, the Total company scholarship programme, and a presentation of the UFAZ.

Some 11 French and Azerbaijani companies took part in the fair and over 50 Alumni had the opportunity to meet recruiters present during the day. 

After the event, a cocktail was offered by Campus France Azerbaijan and the French Institute in Azerbaijan. Thanks to our generous sponsors (Ladurée, Entrée, Yves Rocher, Paul), 6 Alumni won two nice gifts in a lottery.
