As the 5th largest host country for international students, France continues to uphold a policy of openness to students from around the world, despite the health crisis resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, and is fully committed to taking care these students.
The richness of its higher education and the quality of the training and degrees it provides, both onsite and online, attract thousands of students from all over the world every year.
“Bienvenue en France”: our alumni speak
Hailing from all regions of the world, they have come to study in France. Through their respective journeys, they each stand today as a testament to the excellence and diversity of French higher education. Eager and willing to share their experiences, these alumni have happily agreed to tell you their story.
A few examples:
Anja is a Serbian national. After studying molecular biology, she completed a Master 2 degree in Public Health, Epidemiology and Clinical Research at the University of Lorraine and works in France on epidemiological risks.
Niels is a German national. Winner of the Make our planet great again programme, his scientific work contributes to a better understanding of climate change through the study of geology. He is doing his Doctorat at the Lyon Geology Laboratory, at the University Claude Bernard Lyon 1.
Tahina is a Malagasy national. Engineer and holder of a Doctorat in computer science passed in France at the University of Reunion Island, she currently works on the integration of electric vehicles in the cities of the future. Winner of the l’Oréal-UNESCO scholarships for women and science France (2017).
Thierno is a Senegalese national. He studied sustainable agricultural and agri-food systems engineering at Sup Agro Montpellier and spends his time between France and Senegal for different agri-food projects.
Veronica is Mexican national. After studying at the French High School in Mexico City, she attended a preparatory class in France and studied engineering at Arts et Métiers ParisTech. She now works in a consulting firm.
Duy-Anh is a Vietnamese national. Winner of the Make our planet great again programme, he is sensitive to environmental issues, he has completed a Master's degree in economics at the Paris School of Economics and is continuing his research in development economics at AFD.
Sarah is a Korean national. Passionate about the world of luxury, she studied marketing and management at Sciences Po Paris to work on the development of French luxury brands in Asia.
Samir is an Algerian national. An architect, he chose France to complete his training by taking an international Master’s degree in heritage conservation.
These 20 ambassadors of French higher education will carry a simple message, which will be relayed by the 259 Campus France Offices and Branches in the French embassies of 127 countries: “I chose France for my higher education, and you?”; “In France, they take care of you” and “See you in France”.
