Alumni reception at the Ministry of External Affairs in Paris

An alumni reception was held at the Ministry of External Affairs office in Paris for Indian alumni and students on the 5th of January 2015. Madame Anne Grillo, Director of Cultural, Academic and Research Cooperation at the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, hosted the reception.

Mme Grillo interacted with Indian scholarship holders in Paris and alumni who are now working there.  She spoke img_0786_400to the guests about the France Alumni network that was inaugurated on 26th November 2014, and about their contribution as international alumni towards strengthening it globally. She said, "we rely on alumni like yourself, to share their experience in France with young Indians and encourage them to chose France as a destination for their studies."

Mme Grillo also cited internationally acclaimed Indian alumni like the contemporary painter, Mr. Sayed Haider Raza, and said that France is very proud of the contributions of such alumni to their field of work.

The evening ended with galette de rois and cider, as is the tradition in France on the 5th of January.
