In ASEAN, Michelin manages commercial offices in ASEAN i.e. Bangkok, Jakarta, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh, Kuala Lumpur, Manila and Singapore. The regional office for ASEAN is located in Bangkok while Singapore remains our main treasurer and legal centre in ASEAN and hosts also our worldwide natural rubber purchasing company.

Michelin in ASEAN has established since 1987 with its first groundbreaking ceremony in Thailand, which has become its main production loop of tires starting from natural rubber composite, mold, cable steel cord, and finished goods (motorbike tires, aircraft tires, truck and bus tires, passenger car tires). Under the band names of "Michelin", "BFGoodrich" and "SiamTyre" with the contribution and commitment to our businesses, the group has become a manufacturing hub for both domestic and export markets covering Asia Pacific and other continents.

Furthermore, Thailand also plays an important role for being the company technology hub in ASEAN as one of seven Michelin Reasearch & Development centres in the World. Currently, Michelin employs more than 8,500 staff in the ASEAN.
