Le ticket gagnant pour les entrepreneurs
The objective of the French Tech Ticket, which second wave of entrepreneurs is starting course, is to attract and keep international talents in France.
According to President François Hollande, who was invited to the opening ceremony and the second promotion of the Pass French Ticket on January 16, 2017, this scheme is a symbol of attractiveness and openness for France. "This process means that France is a deeply open country that considers that the world can bring much and that France can contribute to the future of the world," said the president. "Exchange of goods, capitals, but more importantly people is the key a controlled globalisation".
"The scheme will continue in the years to come, since a new call for projects open to 200 applications will be launched every year until 2020", said Hollande. "This year, 2,700 applications were received for 200 laureates from 90 country, which is half of the world", said the President enthusiastically.
The French Tech Ticket is improving in order to answer to the demand of foreign entrepreneurs. The hosting programme for international talents in France offered 50 seats for the opening season (22 start-ups) only in incubators and accelerators of the Île-de-France region. For season 2, 180 entrepreneurs from all over the world will be hosted throughout the year in 10 French cities, in 41 incubators.
The French Tech Ticket plans a year of support for each start-up that is included: a 25,000 euros scholarship for each member of the team, free housing, tailor-made mentoring, a one-stop desk for all administration processes, and more. In total, 18 of the 22 laureate start-ups in 2016 have chosen to continue their development in France after this year and half intend to register their company in France.
