New provisions have been implemented
The law of March 7, 2016 regarding the rights of foreign nationals in France entered force on November 1st 2016. The law seeks to better welcome and integrate foreign nationals in France and to attract individuals in mobility acclaimed for their excellence and knowledge.
Several provisions directly impact international students and researchers. They are all detailed in the keynote by Campus France: reform of medical check-up, obligation to justify the refusal for visa issuance, plurennial residence permit, broadening of access conditions for the Temporary Residence Authorisation (APS), creation of the Talent Passport, working holidays visa, and more.
