AUF Middle East: Jean-Noël Baléo new regional director

Jean-Noël Baléo took up his post as regional director of AUF in the Middle East on September 1, 2020.

Jean-Noël Baléo obtained his Doctorate in Materials Science and Engineering from the Ecole des mines de Paris and his authorization to supervise research at the University of Nantes. With around thirty years of professional experience, he began his career in the field of higher education and research, before moving towards international cooperation and diplomacy. Mr. Baléo has held several positions of responsibility, including Director of the French Institute in Iraq before joining AUF on September 1, 2020 as Director of AUF Middle East.
