On Tuesday 7 July 2015, His Excellency M. Christophe Lecourtier, Ambassador of France to Australia, was in Melbourne to decorate 26 Australian veterans, 25 men and one woman, who fought for the liberation of France during the Second World War. Ambassador Lecourtier presented them with their medals at the Shrine of Remembrance Auditorium in Melbourne.
On this occasion, Ambassador Lecourtier spoke with Jean-Noël Ducasse from SBS French about the 'Légion d'Honneur', French-Australian relations, the Paris Climate Conference (COP21) and Bastille Day.
